When I was in high school ( a long, long time ago) a girl I knew had a ‘70 New Yorker. She called it the S.S. New Yorker for good reason. I think her parents bought her the biggest car that they could find thinking it would be safer.

My Buick Electra was so smooth if I lifted my feet off the floor it was basically like sitting in a nice lazy boy recliner. There was zero road feedback and the steering wheel only suggested where the car might go.

They had no reason to worry with her. She was every parent’s dream, straight A’s and all.

That’s no guarantee of anything.
And I only say that because my HS girlfriend was, on the surface, a parent’s dream - straight A student, multisport athlete, student council, blah blah blah.
Much to my delight, she liked to excel at everything she pursued , even if her ‘82 Escort wasn’t nearly as roomy as your friend’s New Yorker.

I’m visual. I appreciate this one, the depiction in my head and the chuckle. Imagine this on promotional material or a magazine cover.
